Visual Schedule for Kids
Create and save schedules for your child or client. Make edits in real-time when plans change.
Parents
Have a regular routine, like speech therapy after school or swimming lessons every Saturday? Create and save a schedule so you can reuse it without starting over each time. When plans change, you can easily make edits on the go.
Using a visual schedule can make routines and changes more predictable for your child, helping them understand what to expect and stay regulated.
If your child is still learning to read, you can use pictures instead of text. Select a photo from your camera roll or search for an image using the built-in web search.
Choose the schedule format that best matches your child’s current skills:
Tracking Schedule
Use this option if your child already knows how to visually track and follow a moving icon as they progress through the schedule.
Left/Right Schedule
Use this option if your child is still learning how to track objects. When a step is completed, it moves to the right side (or below when viewed on a phone) to show that it is finished, similar to a First/Then board.
First/Then Schedule
Use this option as a standalone schedule to show your child or client what task they need to complete before they receive a reward. Or use it to breakdown a task within the Left/Right or Tracking schedule into a smaller step.
Other features include:
Customize the tracking token to make checking the schedule more motivating and fun for your child.
Rearrange steps by pressing and holding the gray dots, then moving the step up or down.
Swipe left to delete a step.
Select Reset to return the schedule to the beginning so you can use it again.
Need more or fewer steps? Use the +/- buttons to add or remove boxes.
Share a saved schedule with a therapist, caregiver, or family member so they can use the same routine with your child.
Use the First/Then Board as a stand alone schedule or to break down a step within the schedule
